Sniff Search out, Constitution In
Florida is a Medically aware and abundant location for Cannabis and CBD users, offering relief from a wide variety of troubles and conditions. Yet still we find new road blocks each day and evolution in this Drug war against wellness. With over 200,000 Medically recommended patients at the start of 2019, we see exponential growth as time has continued.

For decades now Florida citizens, tourists and travelers conducting business have been ever weary of the Sniff Search and Traffic Stops, popular in Florida during a sunny holiday. Now with the evolution of Federal Hemp laws, state and police officials have been reviewing the policies set forth by their predecessors and creating a new and more stable foundation for their anti-narcotic efforts and investigation process. As today we still see many legal patients being questioned and detained for their medical use that is within their Florida state rights, regardless of context in many cases. Thankfully there is a strong, concentrated effort in creating positive change for many of these issues for Cannabis and Hemp users, as well as the law enforcement agencies mistaking this medicine for a dangerous narcotic.
With the line between Hemp CBD products and their chemical sister, Cannabis’s THC being so easily mistaken while in the field, officers in the state of Florida have been developing new methods with Laboratories and testing centers across the United States in an effort to create a more potent field-lab testing kit and have percentages of THC measured from samples collected by citizens in an effort to determine recklessness and endangerment while driving. This, when properly investigated will allow for a court system to accurately decide if THC was an influencing chemical in reckless driving not previously available to law enforcement officials without the broadening of research, resources and alliances with these laboratories and manufacturers.Though let it be remembered, we still have no correlation or evidence collaborating impairment with Cannabis usage.
