Light ‘EM up!
Did you see the Florida for Care email asking us light up the phone lines by calling lawmakers on the Professions and Public Health Committee in the Florida House of Representatives?
WE CAN DO THAT!
We have to light up the phone lines in Tallahassee between now and 9 AM TUESDAY!
Tuesday morning between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM committee members (listed below) on the Professions and Public Health Committee will hear HB 1455.
HB 1455 – a proposal to Regulate Medical Marijuana in Florida is really a CAPS bill that:
• puts patients lives at risk by criminalizing products that work,
• puts an unnecessary tax on patients who must use more and spend more when potency is capped,
• and it violates doctors abilities to advertise their practice.
We must Protect OUR Patients (POP) from this CAPS bill.
This is an all-hands-on-deck action alert! Take a minute to call or email the members of the Professions and Public Safety Committee and tell them to vote NO on HB 1455.
Don’t stop there! Use this link to edit a letter to Senate President Wilton Simpson asking the Senate to STOP the CAPS.
We have opportunities to stop HB 1455 and SB 1958, the Senate companion to this bill, but only if we act now. Once you send your letter to President Simpson, you will be redirected to our donation page. Each organization working on this has a strategy to help stop these CAPS. Capping THC is a national trend and this is just the beginning unless we stop it now.
