David was a key member of the Hemp Awareness Council at the University of Miami from 1995 to 2000. The Hemp Awareness Council provided hemp education in public forums on and off campus and collected petitions for the first of many medical marijuana initiatives that preceded Amendment 2. In 2003, David joined Florida Cannabis Action Network under Kevin Aplin and Jodi James; and in 2011, became an officer as the business reorganized under Cathy Jordan's leadership. David is a 2000 alumnus of the University of Miami and works as a sales engineer in the Healthcare Division of Nuance Communications, Diagnostic (Radiology) line of business.
